After using the Turtle Beach Tango's I was thoroughly unimpressed. I figured Turtle Beach has always had good products and these were supposed to be there top of the line headsets. I knew I wanted a good headset for the PS3 so I decided to get the Turtle Beach Tango limited edition Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 headset (199.99). My first set is a Logitech wired which I use primarily for the PC they work great but they don't work for the PS3 due to the cord being too short. I'll start off by saying this is the third headset I have used for the PS3 and PC and by far the best.

I purchased a 12' foot micro USB cable online in order to allow me to continue playing. Battery life would not be such an issue if Sony had supplied a charging cord. This headset does use the same micro USB charging cable as any Sony Controller, but the provided controller cables are usually only 3 feet. Obviously learning where the appropriate controls on the headset are will take some time, but my issues is being able to manipulate the butts while playing. I initially thought this would become easier as I have more time to use this headset but so far it had not. Some people like to be able to hear themselves talk while using a headset, This headset does allow you to turn that feature on and off however i have found that the voice playback is very quiet and not loud enough to hear while gaming. This is the biggest area where I have problems. It also is almost recessed into the earpiece making it difficult to use while gaming.Overall I would highly recommend this headset over any others, It is a great quality headset that will perform perfectly. The is the button I use the most while gaming. The mute button is located on the left earpiece on the back side. I like how there is a built in mic which works well. The wireless feature is convenient so that you won't have a ton of cords hanging around plus all you need to do is connect the USB transmitter to your PS3 or computer (I get about 50 ft. Those headsets cost $100+ more than the Pulse Elite! There are several good things about the Pulse Elite. The battery life is quite short especially if you use the Bass Impact feature quite a bit. Which is something Sony should have thought about since it's something cheap and necessary to have. It doesn't come with a recharging cable in the box. Works great with shooters and makes you feel like your in the game. There's also a couple downsides though. The Bass Impact feature is just AWESOME! It utilizes the bass sounds into a "pulse", which makes the headset shake/rumble. If you get these, I also recommend getting the protection plan. Has good sound quality and having the Bass Impact feature brings your gaming experience to the next level by "feeling" that your in the game your playing. It's easy to set-up and use. Lastly, I find it uncomfortable after a couple hours of use but I will probably get use to it.Overall, this headset is probably the best wireless headset you can get especially at the price that BestBuy sells for $150. Also remember that there's no cable to charge these bad boys via mini USB so you better have that USB cable that came with your PS3 in order to charge it just like the PS3 controller. The batteries are okay for a wireless headset so it doesn't bother me at all and should last you a good few hours with BassImpact turned on. The PUSLE/BassImpact in the headset is more like the rumble feature in a DualShock 3 controller but instead of rumbling in your hands, your ears are rumbling! And that's even if you have the BassImpact turned not all the way up but midway (Depending on how/what setting your using them). I believe every gamer, movie watcher or music listener should have these awesome bad boys in their arsenal. ![]() This thing is just great to look at, comfortable, and dead simple to use. That have those clunky extra base stations. I just got tired of dealing with headsets from turtle-beach etc. This makes this headset truly Universal. You just need to make sure the receiver is plugged into something so that it's getting USB power. Acnl mac emulatorOne thing they do not really talk about is the ear cups, they are slanted diagonally so that they are deeper in the back. The attention to detail is amazing, they took their time to bring out the best audio experience. I have upgraded from the Razer Megalodon and Bose QC 15. I never review an item, but this impressed me so much and wanted to clear up what the previous have said about it.First, the sound is freaking amazing! The PULSE boost really brings out the lows and highs perfectly, all my music sound better. All in all if you want a fantastic wireless headset to use with anything - this is the pair to buy.So after using it at home a for a little while I can tell you this is the best headset I have used for gaming/movies. That means for those of you who want to use this and didn't buy a ps3 you'll need to get that charging cable, which should cost a few bucks tops to get. When using to music you can really hear every detail of the song that you wouldnt get from normal headset, you can feel the drums and strokes of the keys. Other headsets have a lot of bass but it drowns out, but this doesnt do that at all. The bass is perfect, what you would expect from a real surround sound system. Emicsoft vob converter for macHere is how to get PULSE to work with your mobile phone/game system! Connect the USB dongle to a portable USB charger (I have the Zagg Sparq2.0), then connect the 3.5mm jack into the dongle and then into your device. You can connect the headphones directly to your mobile device or Vita/DS with no issue with the including 3.5mm cable, but you do not get the PULSE boost. I was playing Battlefield 3 on PC and the guns sound more natural and just the way the sound is delivered with the PULSE draws you in the game even further.Third, as it states you can only use PULSE with the USB connected (PS3 or PC only). Awesome for long trips and plane rides.
